Sport > (O M G) Osimhen keeps Arsenal, Wolfburg waiting.

Golden - Boot winner of the FIFA World Cup for junior men, Victor Osimhen is still divided over the choice of club he would pen his signature for as pressure mounts on him from English Premiership side Arsenal and German side Wolfburg.
According to Gooner Talk.com, the young players is torn between signing for Wolfburg and the North London side. As it is, he could be the latest young player to be swayed by Arsenal’s state-of-the-art Lon- don Colney facilities after he was invited to the club for a trial.
The Nigeria Under-17 starlet made his mark at the U-17 World Cup earlier this year, scoring 10 goals in 7 games to help the Golden Eaglets win the tournament, while also picking up the Golden Boot trophy him- self.
Arsene Wenger is famed for his ability to nurture young talent, and he puts his faith in youth like no other manager does. Osimhen is clearly aware of the reputation the Frenchman has, and suggests that after his visit to the Emirates his mind will be made up.
“I spoke with the [Wolfsburg] coach who also made several promises and if I eventually choose to sign for them, I hope they’ll keep their word,” he said.
“But I have not decided where to go yet because Arsenal are also showing strong interests and perhaps after my visit to the club, I will have a clear view of where I want to go.”
Despite heavy links to Wolfsburg, the reports suggested Arsenal are the favourites for his signature. The German side are unquestionably an excellent side, but as evidenced by their two defeats at the Emirates Cup this year – one of which was against us – we are a far superior outfit.
Arsenal currently have a number of young strikers on their books, with Yaya Sanogo, Alex Iwobi, Chuba Akpom all looking to break into the team. So far none have shown they have what it takes, and a little more competition wouldn’t do any of them any harm.
