BALE: I DON'T Even Think About The Ballon D'OR

The Real Madrid star says he has no obsession with such individual accolades, insisting he puts the good of the team over his own success
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale says he does not think about winning individual awards like the Ballon d'Or.

The winner of the 2015 award will be announced on Monday, with Bale's team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo looking to win it for the fourth time in his career, though he faces competition from Barcelona duo Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Bale's agent has previously tipped him to win the Ballon d'Or in the future and says he wants it, but the Wales international maintains he has no real interest in it.

"Individual awards – I don't think about them at all," Bale said. "They’re nothing that I want to think about.

"It’s for other people to sort out themselves.
"For me, I just want to work hard for the team and try to win as many titles as I can."

The €100 million signing has scored 12 goals in 14 league games this season, with his hat-trick in Saturday's 5-0 trouncing of Deportivo La Coruna making it eight in his last four.
