The FORMER Super Eagles Captain, Henry Nwosu, has commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on the 23-man list chosen to represent the nation in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) scheduled to start on January 16 in Kigali, Rwanda.
Speaking on the list for the CHAN’s tournament, Nwosu, a grassroots coach and an advocate of the local players inclusion in the senior national team, said the players picked for this year’s tournament are the best in Nigeria’s Premier League.
“I think the Nigeria Football Federation has done a good job as far as the list of the 23-man to the African Nations Championship in Kigali is concerned. One can rarely fault the list especially if one considers performances of these players in the last season. I am impressed with this list because these players are the best that we have in the country aside from the ones that went for greener pastures outside the shore of the country,” he said.
While also commenting on the recent performance of John Mikel Obi for his club, Chelsea FC of England, the one-time coach of the Golden Eaglets, said Mikel has suddenly got his form back.
