Liverpool monitoring French keeper Steve Mandanda as he lets Marseille contract run down

Liverpool will monitor Steve Mandanda ’s progress this summer, writes Neil Moxley in the Sunday People .

The Marseille keeper, a target for Aston Villa boss Remi Garde, has decided to stay put at the Velodrome and run down his contract.
With Jurgen Klopp unimpressed by both Simon Mignolet and Adam Bogdan, the Reds will be in the market to strengthen their goalkeeping options.

And Mandanda, who will be available on a free, is one of those on the shortlist of the recruitment department at Anfield along with a number of other Premier League clubs.
