The former Portugal Under-21 international, thrilled with his move, is eager to make his first-team debut for the Canaries against Stoke City or Bournemouth
Norwich City defender Ivo Pinto has expressed his delight at a "dream" move to the Premier League after signing for the Canaries from Dinamo Zagreb on Friday.
The 26-year-old right-back, who won two league titles and the domestic cup during his time in Zagreb, joins Alex Neil's side on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
And the former Portugal Under-21 international has admitted he was overwhelmed by the reaction given by fans during his unveiling at home to Manchester City in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
He told Goal : "I received a standing ovation from a full stadium yesterday, it was unbelievable!
"I like the city and the club and the coach told me what he expects from me... and the fans are amazing! I have to get used to life in England, but I'm sure with time it will not be a problem.
"It has always been my dream to play in England and here I am now in the Premier League. This is for me the best league in the world, I am delighted that I will play at this level.
"Norwich is not too big a city, I like it a lot. But I'm thrilled about my new club.
"There's a real family atmosphere, everyone in the club is very intimate. The organisation of the club is of the highest level. Between the owner, directors and fans it is a great community.
"My first impressions about Norwich are excellent."
Having already met his Canaries team-mates, Pinto is now looking forward to bedding into first-team duties and is hopeful of making his debut against Stoke City or Bournemouth next week.
When asked if he had met up with his new colleagues, he said: "Yes. On Friday I did the first practice with the team. I now eagerly await my Norwich debut.
"I hope next week [will be a chance for my first appearance]! I'm ready, I trained during the winter break and can play immediately. But we'll see what the coach decides.
