Liverpool could win the title if they do this January transfer deal with West Ham

KLOPP could pull off a genius move if he lets Daniel Sturridge join West Ham, and here’s why

England striker is behind Roberto Firmino, Mane, Philippe Coutinho and even Divock Origi in the Liverpool pecking order.

He has started just four of the Reds’ 13 Premier League games and is unlikely to suddenly start racking up game time.

For despite being a frontman of undoubted class, Sturridge just doesn’t fit the Klopp style.

Put brutally, Liverpool don’t need him. He’s a luxury.

So what if he moves to West Ham? Would he benefit from the West Ham system, where he’d be guaranteed a starting sport every week? Definitely.

And Liverpool would too.

Say, for argument’s sake, Sturridge makes the move on January 1 when the transfer window opens.

On January 2, West Ham face Manchester United - that could be Sturridge’s debut.

On February 1,

Manchester City visit the London Stadium. By that point he could be well into his stride.

A month later, on March 4, the Hammers face Chelsea then on April 4 it’s a visit to Arsenal.

Four games, against four of Liverpool’s title rivals, all at the business end of the season.

Sturridge could be warming the bench at Anfield, watching Firmino and co run riot.

Or he could be taking priceless points off the Reds’ arch enemies in the race for the summit.

After all, West Ham are way off Liverpool and it’s not like his goals would cause them any harm.

Then, come the end of the season, Sturridge could return to Liverpool a revitalised man.

He might earn his way back into Klopp’s system or he could put another £10m on his price-tag if Liverpool choose to sell.

Make no bones about it, the Kop boss doesn’t want Sturridge going anywhere.

But, if he does let him go, it could prove a master stroke.
