Rumours: Everton to make second Gabbiadini bid

Toffees will pursue their interest in the Napoli striker, who could be a replacement for wantaway Romelu Lukaku, despite having an initial bid of £14.5 million turned down

Everton will make a fresh bid to sign Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini, further fuelling speculation that Romelu Lukaku could be set to leave the Merseyside club.

Toffees’ recently had a bid of £14.5 million for the 25-year-old rejected by the Serie A side and Ronald Koeman is a big fan of the player, despite the fact he’s scored just three goals so far this season.

The Italian international has struggled to fit into Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 formation and it’s understood that a bid of around £20 million should be enough to secure his services. He has also been linked with a move to Valencia.

Meanwhile, Everton rejected a £57 million bid for Lukaku from former club Chelsea in the summer but the Belgian is still thought to want out of Goodison Park.
