A bridesmaid who was battered by the bridegroom in a wedding punch-up says the fight has ruined her life.
Samantha Dewar, 26, had her cheekbone shattered when thug John Paul Campbell, 27, attacked her on his wedding day.
She had stepped in to help after the yob attacked another bridesmaid at the reception.
But Campbell lashed out at her and with one pile-driver punch, sending her sprawling on the ground.
Samantha needed a metal plate inserting in her face to repair the damage from the assault.
She said: “We’ve been best friends since school and I helped her get ready for the wedding. I can’t believe what’s happened, I’ve lost my best friend.
“It’s been a nightmare. Everyone was having a nice time at the reception and it was at the end outside in the car park when it happened.
