Manchester United stars check in at The Lowry ahead of crunch Swansea clash

Louis van Gaal remains under pressure and will be desperate for all three points when his side welcome the Swans to Old Trafford later today.

Manchester United players looked less than cheery as they checked into Salford’s swanky Lowry Hotel ahead of their Old Trafford clash with Swansea on Saturday.

Reds stars shuffled into the celebrity hotspot on Friday evening following their New Year’s Eve celebrations.

But none looked particularly chipper - and for good reason, report the Manchester Evening News.

United are without a win for SIX weeks.
They will stretch their winless run to nine matches in all competitions unless they defeat Swansea later today.

It’s the Red Devils worst run of form in 26 years - and has seen manager Louis van Gaal come under increased pressure.

He has faced a torrent of speculation about his future in Manchester, but has batted away suggestions he’ll soon be shown the door by United chiefs.

United start 2016 in sixth position, some nine points behind leaders Arsenal.

Van Gaal strolled into the hotel with Anthony Martial, followed by Juan Mata, David De Gea, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Chris Smalling, Michael Carrick, Memphis Depay, and Marouane Fellaini among others.

United have managed just 10 goals in their last 14 games in all competitions.
