The former Warri Wolves tactician on Saturday rejoined the Nigeria champions three years after he left them following Kadiri Ikhana’s departure
Coach Paul Aigbogun has been confirmed as technical adviser of Nigeria Professional Football League reigning champions Enyimba.
The former Warri Wolves handler replaces Ikhana who led the Aba Elephants to a record Nigeria Professional Football League win.
"Enyimba Football Club can confirm that coach Paul Aigbogun has been appointed as the new Technical Adviser of the club," the club's website announced.
"The management, players and staff are pleased to have Paul back as head coach because he not only has top-level experience, he is equally familiar with our club and share our passion and ideals.
"In his previous spell as assistant coach in 2013 when we won our third Federation Cup, he stood out as a thorough professional, one that is as driven as we are for glory and success.
"We are very confident he can guide the team to great heights and will give him all the support he needs to succeed.
According to the club's website, Aigbogun's appointment 'takes effect immediately'. Aigbogun will be poised to lead the Nigeria champions in their bid for a third Caf Champions League title.
Enyimba will travel away to face Ugandan champions Vipers SC with the first leg on the weekend of 12-14 February. They will later welcome Edward Golola’s side to the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba a fortnight later.
The winner of this tie will progress to the next qualifying round to face either Lioli FC of Lesotho or Burundian champions Vital’O in March.
