The Portuguese star's time at the Santiago Bernabeu may be nearing an end and the Spanish club will consider the Tottenham striker as a potential part of their rebuild
Real Madrid are looking at Tottenham striker Harry Kane as a potential signing as they prepare for the post-Cristiano Ronaldo era, according to the Daily Telegraph .
Ronaldo, now 30, went trophyless at the Santiago Bernabeu last season and Madrid's third-place position in La Liga cost coach Rafa Benitez his job.
The 32-time Spanish champions are aware they are approaching a rebuilding period under new boss Zinedine Zidane and have admired Kane since his run of seven goals in eight games last season, the report claims.
Madrid are said to have a good relationship with Spurs as a result of the business the clubs have done in the past, with Luka Modric and Gareth Bale both completing big-money moves to Spain.
Kane, who signed a new contract at White Hart Lane at the beginning of 2015, is likely to be offered improved terms before the end of the current season and will not be sold this month.
But the Telegraph report that the 22-year-old's status as one of Europe's most-coveted young players makes him a fit for Madrid's recruitment policy.
